Your Child’s Wellbeing is Our Top Priority
At La Maluk Village, every child’s health, safety, and emotional wellbeing come first.
Our policies follow KHDA standards, as well as UAE health, hygiene, and child protection regulations, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for learning and play.
Daily Monitoring
& Child Wellbeing
We track children’s emotional state and engagement daily using the Leuven Scales. If low wellbeing or involvement is observed, our team:

Hygiene
& Sanitation Procedures
We maintain strict hygiene standards throughout the centre:

Daily cleaning and disinfection of classrooms, playrooms, toilets, kitchens, and corridors

Preventive sanitation according to approved schedules

Staff trained in hygiene and first aid

Food safety procedures strictly monitored
Facility Safety

Regular risk assessments in classrooms, stairs, playgrounds, toilets, exits, and sleep areas

Clearly marked emergency exits and evacuation routes

CCTV coverage in all key areas (excluding toilets and sleeping zones), with footage stored securely for 14 days

Supervised entry through central reception by a trained security guard
Medical Room & Health Care

Morning health checks for all children

Maintained medical files and vaccination records

Isolation procedures for illness symptoms

First aid for injuries or discomfort

Compliance with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) standards
Nutrition & Mealtime Safety

Food stored, prepared, and disposed of according to hygiene regulations
Emergency Procedures & Drills

Fire drills each term and lockdown drills twice per year

Staff trained in evacuation routes and emergency response

First aid kits and evacuation instructions available throughout the centre

Nurse and security coordinate with emergency services as needed

Safeguarding & Child Protection

Safe recruitment practices: police clearance, reference checks, identity verification

Annual training on physical, emotional, sexual abuse, neglect, and online safety

Immediate reporting to Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for any concern

DSL maintains confidential logs and escalates to Dubai Child Protection Centre if required

Whistleblowing system protects staff reporting concerns

Regulated staff phone use and age-appropriate safety training for children
Roles & Responsibilities
· Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL): The Centre Director holds overall responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across the centre.
· Nurse, Security Team, and All Staff: Monitor and ensure daily compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding procedures.
· Staff Training: All staff complete certified safeguarding training and participate in regular refresher programmes.
· Incident Management: Any injuries or incidents are recorded accurately, signed by parents, and systematically reviewed to enhance safety and wellbeing practices.
